Case Study: Hallam Techno Motors Future-Proofed

The Challenge

Ernest, owner of Hallam Techno Motors in Victoria, was ahead of the curve with his EV qualification. But without proper charging infrastructure, he couldn't fully capitalise on Victoria's push toward 50% EV sales by 2030.

Our Solution

We installed two ZJ Beny Smart Twin chargers: one inside the workshop for vehicles being serviced and one outside for completed cars awaiting pickup. These IP65-rated chargers connect to WiFi and Bluetooth, allowing Ernest to monitor energy usage in real-time and access historical data for tax and business planning through a smartphone app.

The entire installation was completed in just 1.5 day with minimal disruption to Ernest's business operations. We also handled all DRIVEN grant paperwork, making the rebate process hassle-free for Ernest.

The Results

Hallam Techno Motors is now:

  • Fully equipped to service and charge customer EVs
  • Able to monitor and control charging remotely
  • Positioned as an EV-ready business ahead of competitors
  • Prepared for Victoria's electric vehicle future

With the Victorian government targeting 50% electric vehicle sales by 2030, Ernest's workshop is now future-proofed and ready to meet the growing demand for EV services.
